Recipe - Chocolate Yogurt

This is a quick and easy way to increase your mineral, fiber, and antioxidant intake. Unsweetened Cocoa Powder nutrition facts
  • Plain Greek yogurt
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder (100% Cocoa)
  • saccharin/aspartame/sucralose/ace k
  • stevia
  • Sugar alcohol like xylitol, erythritol, sorbitol, mannitol(optional)
  • Nuts(optional)
  • vanilla extract(optional)
  • honey(optional)
  • Pinch of Cinnamon(optional)
  • sugar(optional)
Mix the greek yogurt with the unsweetened cocoa powder and sweetener(s) of your choosing.  More chocolate=more bitter but more minerals.  The more chocolate is used, the more sweetener should be used.  The nice thing about chocolate is that its flavor is so powerful it usually covers up the aftertaste of the various sweeteners.  Combinations of sweeteners also aid in reducing aftertaste.  Caution should be taken with the amount of artificial sweeteners you use as studies have shown toxic  and carcinogenic effects. (1, 2, 3)

My usual blend:

  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • 1 packet artificial/natural sweetener
  • 1 packet different artificial/natural sweetener
  • 1 full dropper of liquid stevia (or 2 packets)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract(alcohol free)
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
